Dissemination Workshop
Workshop in Chkalov, Armenia
A few days ago, our participants visited the COAF SMART Center to lead a workshop with children. In total, seven participants were involved in delivering the workshop. During the first session, Syuzi and one of the participants explained the core concepts to the children and introduced the main topic within a STEM framework.
The workshop focused on the theme “Marginalized Youth Against Disinformation.” The participants discussed what disinformation is, how false or misleading information can spread, and why it can be harmful to individuals and communities. They also explored how disinformation can contribute to the marginalization of certain groups by reinforcing stereotypes, fear, and misunderstandings.
Through examples, interactive activities, and open discussion, the participants encouraged the children to think critically about the information they encounter, ask questions, and verify sources before accepting or sharing content. The aim of the workshop was to promote critical thinking, empathy, and responsibility, and to empower children to recognize and challenge disinformation in their daily lives.
