Workshop in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine

During the workshop in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine, one of our participants presented the key outcomes of the training course and led a discussion on the differences between disinformation and misinformation. The session focused on how information manipulation affects local communities and the specific challenges posed by disinformation in the context of the ongoing war. Participants analyzed real examples of disinformation and propaganda, discussed the importance of fact-checking, and explored practical methods for identifying false or misleading content. Attention was also given to digital tools, including AI-based solutions, that can help detect manipulation and coordinated information attacks. The workshop encouraged open discussion, critical reflection, and active participation, strengthening participants’ media literacy and equipping them with practical skills to navigate the contemporary information environment.
